An eagle flies by using air like an invisible ladder. The eagle does not flap its wings all the time. It uses smart wing shapes and moving air to stay up high with very little effort.

Cats meow at us because they are trying to talk to people, not to other cats. This is the most important idea. Adult cats almost never meow at each other. They use body language, smells, and quiet sounds instead. But when a cat lives with humans, it learns that meowing works very well on us.

First, most mother birds do not eat their babies most of the time. When it does happen, it is usually because something has gone very wrong. Birds live in a hard world. Food can disappear. The weather can turn bad. Predators can show up. Birds have very little room for mistakes.

The chicken’s body makes eggs even if there is no rooster around. This surprises many people. Most eggs we eat were never going to become chicks. They are just food. Inside the chicken, an egg starts with the yolk. The yolk is the yellow part. It is full of fat and nutrients. Think of it like a packed backpack full of energy.

Jellyfish survive by being very simple and very clever at the same time. They do not live like people, dogs, or even fish. They are more like floating survival balloons that use the ocean to do most of the work for them.

Fish breathe under water using something called gills. Gills are special body parts that let fish take oxygen from water. Humans use lungs and air. Fish use gills and water. Water has oxygen in it. You cannot see it, but it is there. Fish need this oxygen to live, just like you do.
